Starting 2012 Off with a… Beerfest?

That is right folks, February 3 is Winterbrew, the state’s first beer festival of 2012.

Winterbrew is happening at the Santa Fe Farmers Market starting at 4 p.m.

Some of the state’s finest breweries will be on hand for your sampling pleasure.  This list includes all three Santa Fe locals — Blue Corn, Second Street, and Santa Fe Brewing Co. — plus Albuquerque Metro’s Marble, Chama River, Nexus Brewing, La Cumbre, and Turtle Mountain.  Southern New Mexico’s Mimbres Valley and High Desert Brewing Co. will make the trek north as well, along with Northern New Mexico’s Monk’s Ale and Blue Heron Brewing Co

Tickets for this event are $15 and include a commemorative sampling glass and $5 in tokens redeemable for beer and food.  Additional tokens may be purchased at the event.

Get your tickets at the New Mexico Brewers Guild’s Website

A beer fest on a Friday? Sounds like a killer way start the weekend!

Cheers!
