Fest season continues this weekend with a couple of big ones. We will have Ullr Fest previewed in a separate article, so first we wanted to highlight the Rio Rancho Oktoberfest set for this Saturday from 2 to 10 p.m. It will be located, once again, in the parking lot of the Country Club Plaza off Southern, which is home to Brew Lab 101, among other businesses. As the de facto host brewery, they will be pouring, along with neighboring Turtle Mountain, and to cap the all-Sandoval County theme, Kaktus will be bringing their brews up from Bernalillo. There will be a slew of vendors, a big tent to keep the sun from frying anyone, plenty of food trucks, and live music. Pröst!
New Draft:
Boese Brothers tapped Gold Member, a new hazy DIPA. Bosque added Supreme Tangerine. Boxing Bear brought back Metal Head Stout, our kind of beer. Brew Lab 101 tapped Labtoberfest in advance of the aforementioned event. Flix and Sobremesa released their collab, Nuntucky Common. Kaktus tapped its Oktoberfest. Marble added its version of Native Land, the Mexican lager recipe created by Bow & Arrow. Nexus switched it up ever so slightly with Slightly Soured Trampled by Tangerines. Starr Brothers tapped Dystopian Mist, a new hazy IPA. Steel Bender will bring back Sparkfitter Amber on Thursday. (UPDATES) Flix tapped its aptly named Oktoberfest lager, Flix Brühaus. Tractor added Chocolate Milk Stout.
Up in Santa Fe, Beer Creek will release Märzen Law on Friday. Over in Los Alamos, Bathtub Row tapped White Crow Green Hop, a fresh-hop ale. Down south, Truth or Consequences Brewing will release Oktoberfest on Thursday.

Bosque will release Spacelion IPA in cans and on draft this Saturday. La Cumbre will roll out Oktober Wiesen in cans and on draft this Friday. (UPDATES) Bow and Arrow will release Like a Tumbleweed I’m Gone with the Wind, a new hazy IPA, in cans and on draft this Friday. Quick News Bits:

Just in case you missed it, Brew Lab 101 is taking over the ReSource Brewing taproom in November. Here is the full story.
Starr Brothers has opened its first offsite taproom inside Pars & Rec, a golf and social shop located in the Hoffmantown Shopping Center at Menaul and Wyoming. The brewery will provide beers, cocktails, and wood-fired pizzas in the on-site cafe.
Last week marked the six-month mark since High Desert Brewing suffered a devastating kitchen fire, and it felt like it had nearly been that long since we heard any news from Las Cruces. A quick check online found a story from an El Paso TV station, KVIA, posted back in July. The news is not good as the brewery has struggled to find a contractor to rebuild the kitchen, and then has been hit by the double whammy of repeated robberies. We can only hope that things have gotten better and the brewery hits its projected reopening date of October.
