Brew Lab 101 completes renovation of former ReSource Brewing taproom

Yeah, it’s already reopened. Caught us by surprise, too!

Well, that was fast!

We were more than a bit surprised when it was announced that this past weekend that the renovation of the former ReSource Brewing into a Brew Lab 101 taproom was complete. The new/old location is now open, so we swung by Sunday night to take some pics, have a pint, and spend a little time trying to find it not that weird.

Big changes: TVs! Yes, there are now some TVs where you can watch anything from football games to just about anything (they had Family Guy on one).

The repainted walls and the TVs are the most obvious changes inside.

The area where there were once fermenters and kegs is now a lounge, with some comfy-looking couches set up, and an area for musicians and trivia team leaders to set up.

The walls have been redone, while the bar area isn’t too different.

Having never been to ReSource on a Sunday night before, it was hard to tell if the vibe was significantly different than in the past. The crowd was small but lively, with a few people filtering out as last call was nearing.

Anyway, here are some more photos. Go check it out yourselves and let us know what you think of the changes. To help plan a visit, these are the new hours:

  • Monday-Thursday, 3-10 p.m.
  • Friday, 3-11 p.m.
  • Saturday, noon-11 p.m.
  • Sunday, noon-9 p.m.
The lounge area and performance space. Note that the door to the back has been walled off now. A staff member told us that she keeps forgetting it’s gone and tries to go through there.
More of the walls. Kudos to the artist(s).
Merch wall toward the back of the bar area.
The main bar area. Hopefully with better football games on TV in the future.
Nifty little window display.
One little remaining piece of ReSource is still outside.

Keep supporting local!
