The Week Ahead in Beer: High and Dry gets its kicks with anniversary No. 6

Stoutmeister will have you covered for all things new in beer and brewery events every week.

After Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, and the Super Bowl, it would be perfectly sensible for breweries to take it easy this weekend. Most are doing just that, but High and Dry has an anniversary to celebrate, and the show must go on regardless. There are special T-shirts for sale, a new lager (High Desert Life) will be going on tap, and Put Our B.U.N.S. in Your Hands will be providing the food. Oh, and of course there will be music all day. The Dry ‘n Highs kick things off at noon, followed by Bellowing Bear at 2 p.m., Royal Monaco at 4 p.m., Edgar Wonder at 6 p.m., and Violet Rising at 8 p.m.

New Draft:

Flock of Moons recently released Quickening Moon, a delicious wee heavy. Sunday Service Motor Company will tap Red Velvet Cake Stout on Friday. Turtle Mountain tapped Freeuse Willie, a wee heavy, and Ninkasi Amber. (UPDATES) Bombs Away brought back Detonator Dark Lager. Boxing Bear tapped Midday Maurader Lager. Truth or Consequences Brewing went even wilder by tapping Milky Way Stout, Strawberry Milk Stout (TorC taproom only), S’mores Stout, Choco-Ras Stout, and Supergalactic IPA. (UPDATE) Tumbleroot brought back Hello Dunkel My Old Friend.

New Package:

Bosque released Weekend Trails Southwest Pale Ale in cans and on draft, and it will now be a year-round offering. Bow & Arrow will release Dust on My Plain White Tee, a session hazy IPA that’s the latest entry in the Native Star series, in cans and on draft this Friday.
