Just in case the weird weather outside doesn’t make you feel like you’re already somewhere in cloudy Europe, then the avalanche of Irish-themed food, beer, and events this weekend will certainly get you in the mood. Heck, Flogging Molly is even playing at El Rey tonight, so let us all sing along to Drunken Lullabies and prep for the green days ahead. We will have a more detailed separate article later this week, but let’s just say that there are events planned at Bosque Cottonwood, Boxing Bear Corrales, Canteen, Casa Vieja, Kaktus, Marble (all three locations), Rumor, Turtle Mountain, Second Street Rufina, Tumbleroot Agua Fria, Little Toad Creek (both locations), and of course at Quarter Celtic. Irish red ales and dry stouts will be flowing, corned beef and cabbage will be served, and everyone will tell you about that one ancestor who was definitely from Dublin, or maybe Galway, or perhaps County Cork. Whatever, we can all be Irish for one weekend! Just make sure to be careful out there. Next week, there will be NCAA Basketball Tournament brackets to fill out, after all.
