The mostly complete guide to all the St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans

We shall feast again at Quarter Celtic this St. Patrick’s Day!

As we promised back in The Week Ahead in Beer, we have compiled a separate post highlighting all the events tied to St. Patrick’s Day this weekend. There is a lot, and probably even more than we are listing here, so make sure to check with any breweries not listed.

Most of this is all taking place on Sunday, of course, but we have noted a few events happening today (Friday), Saturday, and those taking place all weekend. Just please remember to be careful out there. Utilize a designated driver or a rideshare to be extra safe.

Boese Brothers Downtown: Saturday will feature karaoke, $5 green beers and $9 Irish cold brews.

Bombs Away: They just released The R.E.D. Ale, an Irish-style brew served on nitro.

Bosque Cottonwood: There will be food and cocktail specials all day Sunday, plus the Sandia Peak Scottish Pipes & Drums will perform from 7 to 7:30 p.m.

Boxing Bear Corrales: This is a big one, as The Blarney Bear Bash & Pop-Up Market will take over the taproom from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Live music will include Lani Nash from 1 to 4, followed by the Sandia Peak Scottish Pipes & Drums at 4. There are two separated corned beer and cabbage plates for $12 or $14, stout stew for $14, multiple vendors on site, and two additional food trucks.

Canteen Brewhouse: Following the latest edition of the Six Pack Running Series at 11 a.m., the fun will kick off with some bagpipes on the patio, followed by The Reelers from 4 to 7 p.m. There will be Reuben sandwiches, beer specials, and more.

Casa Vieja: The Irish Radiators Band will perform at 5 p.m.

Flock of Moons Brewing: Ocean Desert Food Truck will be serving fish and chips on Sunday, plus there will be the usual trivia at 6:30 p.m., and Brighid’s Mantle Irish Dry Stout is currently on nitro.

Harmon Lane Brewing: The weekend will kick off today (Friday) from 5 to 8 p.m., with green beers, SteamQ and its infamously delicious strawberry-glazed ribs, and the Albuquerque Fire & Police Pipes & Drums at 6 p.m.

Hops Brewery: The green beer will be available all weekend for $5 per pint.

Kaktus Brewing; The Bosque Brothers, a Celtic trio, will perform from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be corned beef and cabbage pizza, Irish coffee, green beers, and more.

Marble Brewery: All locations will have Paddy McNitro on tap this Saturday. There will be live music at each taproom, too. Then on Sunday, the big fun goes down at the 111 Marble location, with live music from 1 to 7 p.m., including the Fire & Police Pipes & Drum from 3:45 to 4:15. Each taproom will have unique food items, too.

Palmer Brewery: Both the main location and The Taproom at Old Town will feature corned beer and cabbage, Irish cream puffs, the Feeling Lucky Cocktail, and NM Craft Bombs. This will be all weekend.

Ponderosa Brewing: It’s not quite a St. Patrick’s Day event, but if you need a break from all the Irish, check out the Spring Market from noon to 5 p.m.

Quarter Celtic Brewpub: Of course this crew will be going all out, with an Irish-only food menu, plenty of beer and mead, and the pipes and drums will be on hand, too. Stay tuned to their social media for more details, but if you go, go early, as the lines get longer throughout the day.

Rio Bravo Brewing: The brewery is hosting a St. Patrick’s Beer Pong Tournament at 4 p.m. (check in at 3:30), for $10 per team, with a $100 cash prize. This goes down Saturday.

Rumor Brewing: Daddy O’Long Loin will perform from 4 to 6 p.m.

Starr Brothers Brewing: They will be serving Irish stew with soda bread all weekend, and the brewery will open early at 9:30 a.m. Sunday for the big Liverpool vs. Manchester United clash in the FA Cup quarterfinals.

Steel Bender Brewyard: Sunday will mark the grand finale of their three-day anniversary party that we just covered in our Look Back/Look Ahead Series. Look for the release of Blue Bullet Stout on nitro, cans and limited draft of Short Mondays & Blue Skies, an Irish red aged in maple barrels with coffee, and of course Le Chat Lunatique will be performing from 2 to 4 p.m.

Tractor Brewing: There will special events at both the Wells Park and Nob Hill locations this weekend. The former will have St. Patrick’s Drag Queen Bingo on Saturday night at 7, followed by St. Patrick’s Karaoke on Sunday at 6 p.m. The latter will have The Reelers performing Saturday at 5 p.m. and Dirty Old Town ABQ on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Turtle Mountain Brewing: Sunday’s food lineup will include corned beef and cabbage, Metal Snake Stout Beefy Irish Stew, plus NM Car Bombs, and both Metal Snake and The Troubles Irish Red are on tap.

Outside of the Albuquerque metro area, Bathtub Row will have Irish music at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, plus Irish Red and Irish Goodbye Stout are on tap. Little Toad Creek will have a loaded Irish menu on Sunday, with live music all day in Silver City. Second Street Rufina will have the Albuquerque & Four Corners Pipe ‘n Drum Band at 3 p.m. Sunday, plus food specials all weekend.
