Great New Mexico Beer Festival returns with 22 breweries in attendance

The GNMBF is back for another run in the sun.

While some of us are on vacation, those still in Albuquerque and parts beyond can converge upon Balloon Fiesta Park for the Great New Mexico Beer Festival this Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.

This outdoor fest was previously held in 2022. This time around there will be 22 breweries in attendance, most notably including Downshift Brewing of Ruidoso. They will be collecting donations at the fest, so please make sure to bring a little cash with you to help out.

There will be shaded areas, misting cool-down stations, and plenty of water stations to keep everyone hydrated. Still, apply sunscreen before you arrive.

There will be live music, mini golf, lawn games, an artisan market, and plenty of food trucks on hand. Southwest Grape and Grain will be holding some classes to guide folks through proper beer tastings (1:30 and 3:30) and a class for those who would like to brew at home (2:30). Those tickets are an additional $10 per session, but you do get more beer samples to taste.

As for the beers being poured, we reached out to the participating breweries and heard back from a majority. If any others pop up between now and the start of the festival, we will add them here.
