GABF 2024: A mostly complete guide to the NM brewery competition entries

The Great American Beer Festival is kicking off today (Thursday) in Denver, but alas, the Crew cannot attend as our jobs and lives are keeping us in New Mexico again this year. Nonetheless, we wanted to keep track of which local breweries entered the annual awards competition so that all of you could, too.

We reached out to most of the breweries competing for medals, and quite a few got back to us. If the others send us their lists late, we can further update this article.

There are 102 categories this year, so get comfy if you plan to watch the competition’s online broadcast Saturday at 10 a.m. Oh, and there are even some cider categories, with Brew Lab 101 entering into two of those. And, there are non-alcoholic beer categories mixed in there.

The times are a changing at GABF, aren’t they?

Anyway, rather than type out all 102 categories, here are the breweries that entered, with their beers and the categories (if shared) in which those beers are entered.

For anyone attending one or more sessions of GABF inside the Denver Convention Center, the NM Brewers Guild shared that Bosque, Downshift, Ex Novo, La Cumbre, Little Toad Creek, Quarter Celtic, and Starr Brothers will each have a booth on the floor. Stop by and say hello if any of their staff members are back there slinging beers.

Good luck to all the breweries that entered, and a big thanks to all who shared their entries!
