The probably-almost-final word came down Friday afternoon when Bosque Brewing announced over social media that they would close down all of their remaining taprooms by Sunday at 5 p.m.
The Nob Hill location, which was the first offsite taproom that opened years ago, was the first to close Friday afternoon. The North (Bernalillo), Cottonwood, Heights, and both Las Cruces taprooms will be done by the end of the weekend.
Bosque wrote in the statement that Restoration Pizza in Journal Center and Smothered in West Downtown will remain open as they are now completely separate companies.
Also, in a surprise, Bosque’s canned beers will still be brewed by Marble Brewery. How long that lasts remains to be seen. We will reach out to Marble next week to learn how the specifics of that arrangement will continue.
As of now, though, Bosque is done as a physical brewery. It will exist only in memory and (for the time being) in beer cans that will be distributed via Marble.
That is all we have for now. We wish the best of luck to all of the Bosque employees that will be unemployed after Sunday. Regardless of your feelings towards ownership, if you are able, stop for a final time at a taproom to show those hard-working folks a final bit of support this weekend.
