Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s six breweries, one in Los Alamos, and one in Moriarty also joining the party.
Another weekend, another anniversary party. Why, yes, here we go again. Dialogue Brewing is celebrating its first anniversary with a multi-day party. Thursday will mark the latest round of HandCrafted, starting at 6 p.m. Cali Shaw will provide the music, with Stephanie Eichelberger doing the live art and Danny Hart Design as the vendor. Friday night will feature music from Kira Holt from 7 to 9 p.m., followed by the Desert Darlings shimmying up a storm. Saturday has Red Light Cameras performing at 9 p.m. Sunday has a variety set featuring musicians Brian Shonerd and Chris Brennan at 4 p.m. Expect some new beers as well.
There are also two Oktoberfest celebrations this Saturday. Boese Brothers will have music from a local polka band, German-style food, and their marzen on tap in a souvenir boot for some all-day fun. Marble Westside is hosting live music and more from 3 to 7 p.m. There will be German-inspired food, a lederhosen contest (!), and Marblefest will make its debut on tap and in a special cask.
On the new beer front this week, there are a few options to check out. Boese Brothers’ popular Oktoberfest returns Saturday. Bosque has the wet- and dry-hopped versions of Acequia IPA on tap, with the wet-hopped version also for sale in bombers, plus Down in the Hollow, a delicious English brown ale. Bow & Arrow rolls out Nomadico IPA today (Wednesday). Canteen unveils North 14 Pale Ale and Oompa Lupulin DIPA on Friday. Marble has fresh batches of Double IPA, Jabroni Lite, and Abbey Brett. Bird of Prey IPA lands back at Nexus this week. The Dry-Hopped Saison is finally on tap at Ponderosa, with Oktoberfestbier coming this Friday. Quarter Celtic brings back the popular Mangose. Steel Bender releases the latest version of its Smith Hopper Extra Pale Ale, this batch made with Dr. Rudi hops, on Thursday. Turtle Mountain has its Oktoberfest on tap.
Up in Santa Fe, Duel has the latest version of its HMWWA FIACFW now on tap and in bombers. Rowley Farmhouse Ales keeps rolling its special IPAs with Agent Scully – Season One, Ep. 4, plus there are limited amounts of the Sanctuario – Chardonnay, on tap and for sale in bombers. Second Street brings back LVL Stout and Fulcrum IPA, with Oktoberfest also on tap.

The Sancho de la Sierra is a rye version of the saison made in collaboration with Jubilation. The Trailworks was made in collaboration with Bikeworks, a neighboring business, with a portion of the proceeds going to trail maintenance in the metro area.
