Well, hopefully this story doesn’t create nearly the comment storm of bickering beer lovers like Thursday’s article. Instead, it is all about the love … of two recent canned specialty beers at Boxing Bear.

Four of us — myself, Franz Solo, Brandon, and Erin — were joined by Boxing Bear head brewer/co-owner Justin Hamilton (from the comforts of his garage) over Zoom to discuss Citra Lager and Chin Hook Mountain IPA. Those are just two of the newly canned specialty beers that have hit the market in recent weeks, and we also previewed the new release coming out today (Friday), Pandemonium Pale Ale, plus some other tasty treats coming soon in cans.

It has been a bit of a whirlwind two months for Boxing Bear, which also opened its second offsite taproom at Tramway and Candelaria, during these pandemic days. Justin went into detail about how his brewery has managed to stay above water.
