As we creep closer and closer to the holidays, our breweries are keeping us well stocked with new brews and special events to help distract us from everything we can’t get due to supply chain problems. From more holiday markets, to La Cumbre’s anniversary beer releases, to the Desert Darlings performing at Tractor Wells Park, and a special tap takeover by Boxing Bear (at a metal show, no less), there is plenty going on this week as the temperatures finally drop and winter arrives at last!

New Draft: 

Bosque has tapped a new hazy DIPA, Gucci Pajamas, at the Nob Hill and Santa Fe Market Station taprooms. Casa Vieja brought back Coyote Brown Ale. Ex Novo recently added Diciembrew Winter Ale, and I Come From a Land Dortmunder should arrive this weekend. Gravity Bound will tap its Munich Dunkel again by this weekend. High and Dry has fresh batches of Black Hole’s Sun (Stout) and Constable Reggie (Red Ale). La Cumbre recently added Munich Dunkel and A Wise Man’s Fear DIPA, plus Exterior Illumination DIPA should be on tap this Friday. Marble tapped Schwarzbier and Fresh Outta Context, a SMASH lager brewed in collaboration with Palmer Brewery, and at the last minute before I hit publish, Rummy Dummy, an English-style brown ale aged for 1.5 years in rum barrels. ReSource will add The Patricia Reichardt, a peppermint-infused American stout, on Friday. Starr Brothers brings back Trolls in the Mist (Hazy IPA) and Zombies in the Manger (Biscochito Stout). Steel Bender will add ‘Tis the Saison (Cellared) on Thursday. Toltec just tapped 5 Paths Hazy IPA.

Up in Santa Fe, Tumbleroot rolled out Agave Aged Molé Stout. Over in Los Alamos, Bathtub Row has fresh batches of Prometheus Pilsner and Tusk and Bone Hazy IPA. Down south, Truth or Consequences Brewing will tap Pineapple Habañero Sour.

New Package:

Bow & Arrow will roll out cans of Luminaria Vienna Lager on Friday. Ex Novo has put Cadillac Dreams Hazy IPA back in cans. La Cumbre has cans of Vivid Wild Hazy IPA ready to go this Friday. Steel Bender goes big with Double Barrel-Aged Brickie American Stout cans on Thursday.

Up in Santa Fe, Rowley Farmhouse Ales has Supernatant, a fruited sour, and Teosinte, a farmhouse ale, available in bottles and on draft. Tumbleroot has Double Sunset Hazy IPA ready to go in cans, and the Agave Aged Molé Stout is available in bottles.

Brew Lab 101 will have another holiday market this Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

High and Dry will present a special acoustic performance by Austin band High Desert Queen on Friday at 8 p.m. The following night, the band will support Albuquerque’s Blue Heron in a metal show at Sister Bar, with Boxing Bear providing a special double tapping of VantaBlack Russian Imperial Stout and Drink the Rich Imperial Pastry Stout. We will have more on this event later this week.

The Desert Darlings are back at Tractor Wells Park this Saturday at 7 p.m. for Hops & Dreams: Winter Wonderland Edition.

Finally, Marble is bringing back its popular Beer and Cheese tasting at the Heights Taproom on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The bad news is that it has already sold out, so if you didn’t get a ticket, you are out of luck.
