We are just scratching the surface of the busy times to come, but this weekend is pretty packed. ReSource Brewing has created a special imperial stout to benefit Ukraine, and the collective of Brew Lab 101, Canteen, High and Dry, Nexus, Steel Bender, Tractor and Rowley Farmhouse Ales will also be putting it on tap this Friday. We will have a lot more on that special beer in an upcoming separate story. This weekend also marks the final days of operation of the original Second Street location, dubbed The Oldery by the locals. Luke will have much more on that and the future of the entire Second Street operation later this week, but if you get the chance, join some of us in the Crew for a final pint on Saturday.
New Draft:
Bosque recently tapped Pop Ya Collar (Single-Hop Hazy Pale) and Night Begins to Shine (Dark Lager). Casa Vieja has more Casa Blanca Blonde Ale. Differential tapped a Grisette. Ex Novo is rocking the awesome beer names again with This Bock is Your Bock, This Bock is Maibock, and Redgulators, Mount Up (Red IPA), with the latter being tapped Friday. Harmon Lane is starting up a new series called State 47 Lager, with a seasonal lager released quarterly, starting with Dark Mexican Lager this week, plus they also have Strawberry Rhubarb Tart, Apricot Tart, and El Jefe … Weizen returns Friday. High and Dry tapped How Do You Spell Kolsch? and Lord of the Bling (Pale Ale). La Cumbre has a small batch of Can You Drive a Sticke? (Altbier) at the brewery only. Marble honored the 100th anniversary of KKOB radio with SMASH 100 Lager. Starr Brothers tapped Hazette (IPA) and Red on the Head (Scottish Ale). (UPDATE) Boese Brothers resurrected Zeus Juice White IPA. Canteen tapped more Tuttle IPA. Marble brings back Prickly Pear Gose for another run on tap. Sidetrack tapped Das Pilsner for the weekend.
Up in Santa Fe, Second Street tapped Porch Season (Session IPA) and XX ESB for the final days of The Oldery.
New Package:
Bow & Arrow has a new can in its Amigo series (UPDATE: It’s Grapefruit & Jalapeño Amigo) arriving Friday. Gravity Bound rolls out On the Run (German Pilsner) in cans and on draft this week. Steel Bender brings back Hummingbird Pils in cans and on draft this Thursday. (UPDATE) With the pollen levels only increasing, Boxing Bear helps us all fight back with its mighty hop bomb, Bear Knuckle, in cans and on draft this weekend, and to add to that, there is also BearQueño IPA. Ex Novo then joins the sinus-clearing ranks with Spoiler Alert: They Live!, a new West Coast IPA.
Up near Santa Fe, Beer Creek is releasing Get to Hoppa IPA and Lone Butte Lager in cans for the first time, and both beers are made with all New Mexico ingredients. (UPDATE) Second Street canned up some Dragon’s Blood kettle sour for all to enjoy.
