The final weekend of April is chock-full of events and lots of new beer releases. There are more than 20 new beers on tap at 17 breweries (and counting), plus there are multiple new can releases, with Ex Novo keeping its canning line humming. The Native Guitars Tour will hold events at Marble and Tractor Wells Park, all tied into the Gathering of Nations being held at Tingley Coliseum this weekend. Saturday alone will feature a cornhole tournament, a Ukrainian fundraiser, a crawfish boil, and a celebration of Brazilian culture. Let us dive in, shall we?
Boese Brothers tapped a new Kolsch and Porter at all locations. Bosque goes dark with Garden Grave, a new black IPA. Canteen added Plum Wheat. Differential tapped Peach Cream Ale. Ex Novo brought back She Sells Seashelles late last week. Gravity Bound found itself A Hill to Die On (Rye Lager). High and Dry tapped Santa Fe’s Broken Leg (IPA). Hops Brewery added Mountain Flower Hibiscus Cream Ale. La Reforma recently added Astronave (Hazy Pale Ale) and X-12 IPA. Lizard Tail tapped Strong Scotch Ale. Marble rolled out Czech Out That Heine, a dark lager named for production manager John Heine. Ponderosa added Cashmere Lager, which means five of its 10 taps are now lagers. Red Door now has Tropical Synonyms Hazy IPA on draft in addition to the cans that came out last week. Rumor Brewing rolled out Sandcoaster (IPL), Red Mountain, and Cedro Stout. Sidetrack tapped more Schwarzbier. Steel Bender quietly added Cow Plow Brown late last week. Turtle Mountain tapped Nuts and Bolts, an English-style brown ale. (UPDATES) Casa Vieja added more Wizard of Izz Lager. La Cumbre wondered Who Wears Short Schwarz? with its new schwarzbier. Quarter Celtic has more Prince of Dortness (Dortmunder) on tap.
Up in Santa Fe, Second Street tapped Outlier Special Bitter. Over in Los Alamos, Bathtub Row brewed up fresh batches of Little Bird Blonde, Prometheus Pilsner, and the new Dark Matter Coffee Mild. Further north, Red River Brewing brought back Angry Bear Blonde.
Ex Novo is going can crazy this week, with Hello My Name is Indigo Montoya having returned on Monday, while This Bock is Your Bock, This Bock is Maibock will be canned for the first time, as will There is No I in Steam, and on top of all that they have a collaboration with Gravity Bound called Desert Dessert due out Friday. La Cumbre will roll out Flora & Fauna Hazy DIPA in cans and on draft this Friday. Second Street recently added Sloppy Sloth Neomexicanus Hazy IPA in cans and on draft. (UPDATES) Boxing Bear is Moving on Up with its new lager, out Friday in cans and on draft. Canteen brought back Cabana Mexican Lager in advance of Cinco de Mayo.
