Gravity Bound Brewing is one of the best small brewery success stories we have seen in recent years. It opened in the middle of the shutdown portion of the pandemic with little hype, but quickly built a huge word-of-mouth following and positive reputation for its innovative beers and laid-back atmosphere. The co-owning brotherly duo of GM Chris Frigon and brewer Cameron Frigon soon found themselves just struggling to keep up with demand, as the younger craft beer crowd packed their patio on a daily basis, gulping down all the variants of hazy IPAs, lagers, and fruited sours that they could churn out. Now it’s time for a special celebration as the brewery marks its second anniversary this Friday. There are two new beers coming out in cans (see below), special commemorative T-shirts, a special pop-up by Mud Honey Creamery, and Katsu Kare will take care of all your other culinary needs.

New Draft:

Bosque added a new pale ale, Corduroy Confidence, made with cryo hops. Brew Lab 101 tapped Hybrid Theory Kolsch. Canteen brought back a fan favorite in Irish Red. Casa Vieja added some dessert in a glass with Every Day is Sundae Vanilla Stout and Baby Blues, a blueberry blue corn lager. La Cumbre tapped The Living is Easy (American Wheat). Steel Bender will tap Who’s Brett? IPA on Thursday. (UPDATES) Bombs Away dropped S.A.F. Hibiscus and BLU-82 Brut IPA. Marble tapped Face for Radio, a kolsch-style ale brewed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of KKOB Radio. Palmer and Starr Brothers have re-released their collaboration, 2 Robs Make a Rita.

Up in Santa Fe, Hidden Mountain tapped Antipodean Pale Ale. Over in Los Alamos, Bathtub Row added more New Mexi Lager. Down south, Truth or Consequences Brewing will tap Supernova Double Hazy IPA on Thursday. (UPDATE) Bathtub Row says hello to more Irish Goodbye Stout.

New Package:

Bow & Arrow will release Tropic Rodeo, a juicy hazy IPA, on Friday. Gravity Bound’s double anniversary release this Friday consists of Double Shuffle (Hazy DIPA) and Middle Spoon (Breakfast Bowl Sour). La Cumbre will release Juntos IPA, with the proceeds going to fire relief throughout New Mexico, this Friday at both taprooms. Second Street will roll out Skimboard Sour in cans for the first time this Thursday. (UPDATE) Boxing Bear is bringing back Glass Jaw IPA in cans this Friday.

Notable Events:

Saturday — Boxing Bear will host A Pop Up for Pops at the Firestone taproom from noon to 5 p.m. There will be local vendors, live glassblowing from High Desert Flameworks, and live music.
