
Marble Brewery has once again brewed up a special beer to help in the fight with Alzheimer’s. This Saturday marks the release of #ENDALZ at all three locations. Volunteers from the Alzheimer’s Association will be on hand to sell commemorative pint glasses and spreading awareness. For every pint sold, $1 will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. There will be live music in the evening at each taproom, with Josue Urrutia at Westside from 7 to 9 p.m., Cosmic Status at Heights from 7 to 10, and Vibe Strong downtown from 8 to 11.

Ex Novo has more of the delicious Sons of Scotland on tap. Gravity Bound tapped Nectar Vector, a new hazy IPA. Turtle Mountain got a bunch of Zappa hops and created Why does it hurt when IPA? and thus wins beer name of the week. Unhinged will tap its Oktoberfest this Saturday. (UPDATES) Harmon Lane and Quarter Celtic collaborated on Stenness Blonde Stout. Lizard Tail tapped their Oktoberfest. Marble added The Great White Pumpkin. Sobremesa released Kenergy, a Belgian pale ale. Vision City tapped their Oktoberfest.
Up in Santa Fe, Second Street tapped more Oktoberfest. (UPDATE) Second Street will also tap Atalaya Altbier this Saturday.

Ex Novo has more German Overalls (Oktoberfest) and Intergalactic Pale Reality in cans and on draft. Gravity Bound will release its Oktoberfest, Your Place or Stein, in cans and on draft this Friday. Steel Bender brings back Ale Witch Pumpkin Ale in cans and on draft this Friday. Second Street resurrects Dragon’s Blood Sour in cans and on draft. Downshift is pulling out all the stops for the Ruidoso Oktoberfest starting at 11 a.m., with live music, beer, food, a costume contest, stein holding contest, and more.
(UPDATE) D’oh, we almost forgot that this is Oktoberfiesta day at Santa Fe Brewing HQ. There will be live music, contests, games, and more. It all starts at noon.

Sunday — Ex Novo will host a Makers Market, featuring eight local creators, from noon to 7 p.m., as part of the annual Corrales Harvest Festival.

We got the news a little while back, but forgot to share that 550 Brewing in Aztec has been sold to new owners. It will be closed for a while until they get all the licensing in place. The 550 Pizzeria was sold separately and is now open, though we do not know if they will carry the brewery’s beers in the future.

Starr Brothers has opened its first offsite taproom inside Pars & Rec, a golf and social shop located in the Hoffmantown Shopping Center at Menaul and Wyoming. The brewery will provide beers, cocktails, and wood-fired pizzas in the on-site cafe.
