The end is nigh, so to speak.
This Saturday’s Muertos Fiesta is the grand finale of big events at Marble Brewery for 2023, a fitting conclusion to a long, fun year.
I caught up with events coordinator Amy Levine to go into detail about this year’s edition of the popular post-Dia de los Muertos event at the downtown brewery.
“This is one of Marble’s favorite events,” she said. “The event is going to be from 2 to 10 (p.m.), however we will be open our regular hours, 11 (a.m.) to midnight.”
Admission is free, but no pets and no strollers. The on-site food trucks are NewMex-a-que from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Teos Tacos from 5 to 11. There will be a special tapping of the Spiced Cranberry Gose, plus the usual array of beers, cocktails, and more.
“We have really great bands joining us this year,” Levine said. “Every year we usually incorporate mariachis, and this year we’ll have flamenco dancers. We’re super excited to add that to the lineup.”
The full lineup:
- Vibe Strong, 2-3 p.m.
- Spanish Broom Flamenco, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
- Mariachi Xochitl, 5-6 p.m.
- Keith Sanchez and The Moon Thieves, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
- Reviva, 8-9 p.m.
“In addition to the amazing music, we’re going to hold a vendor market in the north lot,” Levine said. “We will have 16 vendors. That will be from 2 to 7.”
Much like with past events like the anniversary party in April and Marblefest at the end of August, the staff is already refreshing the look of the entire place.
“Of course, we’re going to deck out the taproom and the patio,” Levine said. “I’m hoping for good weather that day. It’s been good so far.”
How does 73 degrees and sunny sound? It will get chilly at night, so as most folks around here know, dress in layers.
“Other than that, we’re excited for another great fest,” Levine said. “It’s a good way to close out the year.”
This will be the last outdoor stage music at Marble until St. Patrick’s Day 2024, so make sure to take advantage of it all. A big thanks to Amy for the interview, and for all of her help throughout this year.
Keep supporting local!
