It’s never too early to get into Spooky Season, right? At least that won’t be the case at three local breweries this weekend, which ties in nicely with Friday being the 13th and all. Leading things off, naturally, is Painted Lady Bed and Brew with a special book signing/reading of Haunted Albuquerque, featuring author Cody Polston. That runs this Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and tickets are available online. There is a triple-header of spooky on Friday, so good luck choosing just one. Painted Lady will be holding a scary movie night featuring the original Friday the 13th from 7 to 9. Ex Novo will also have a scary movie night (film TBA) at the Corrales taproom starting at 8 p.m., tied in with a special beer release (see below). The Goth Night & Dark Market returns to Tractor Wells Park at 8 p.m., with a theme of, well, you can guess based on the date. You don’t have to dress up in full costume yet, but this opening salvo of spooky should get you revved up and ready to go when things really take off in October.
New Draft:
Bosque gets into the season with their Oktoberfest lager. Canteen tapped Peach Wheat. High and Dry added Gose Lighter. Marble brings back Thunder from Dortmunder. Nexus tapped the latest version of their cold IPA, Frio Seco. Sidetrack will release Fresh Hop IPA on Friday. The Tatted Bee brewed up a small batch of a brown ale that they dubbed Beat the Browns. Tractor will bring back fan favorite Scotcholate on Friday. Turtle Mountain did a double tapping of old favorite Arsenal Porter and a special wet-hop Burqueño edition of Sierra Nativo Pale Ale. (UPDATES) Bombs Away dropped their Oktoberfest lager. Canteen will tap Wet Hop Mountain IPA on Friday. Flock of Moons tapped Flocktoberfest. La Reforma added, you probably guessed, their Oktoberfest lager. Quarter Celtic released their Oktoberfest lager, too. Thirsty Eye tapped, what else but their Oktoberfest märzen lager.
New Package:
Bosque now has Spacelion IPA in cans and on draft at all locations. Bow & Arrow will release Hola Hazy IPA again in cans and on draft this Friday. Ex Novo has already brought back Penguin Tuxedo Stout in cans and on draft, and Friday will mark the return of Spirits of the Dead Hazy IPA in cans and on draft. La Cumbre will release the Earth Edition of Project Dank IPA in cans and on draft this Friday. (UPDATES) Bosque will also release Prickly Playmaker, a prickly pear wheat ale made in collaboration with New Mexico United, in cans and on draft this Friday. Boxing Bear will bring back Glass Jaw DIPA in cans and on draft this Friday. Second Street released Sloppy Sloth Talus Hazy IPA in cans and on draft. Downshift released B-Side Blonde in cans and on draft.

Sad news, as Ex Novo’s Lagerhosen has been postponed until 2025. There just wasn’t enough time to prepare the downtown taproom for an event of such magnitude by this Saturday.
Nuckolls Brewing has announced that it has 15 more taps (!) now online, so there will be even more beer (and wine) flowing at the Santa Fe Railyard.
