The mountain rescuers get their moment in the sun, so to speak, at a pair of brewery events this week, split between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. First up, Rescuefest is at Second Street Rufina starting at 2 p.m. This fundraiser supports Atalaya Search and Rescue, which operates in the mountains around Santa Fe. There will be live music by Glorieta Pines and the Johnny Lloyd Band, a silent auction, raffle tickets, and vendors selling outdoor gear. Meanwhile, Marble is hosting the Albuquerque Mountain Rescue Brewfest at the downtown taproom, starting at 3 p.m. There will be live music by Hondo Coyote, Stray Dawgs, The Asteroids, and Jimmy Deveney and The Hold Fast Union. They will also have a silent auction, raffle, and plenty of special products will be available for purchase. In whichever city you live around, you have an option to support the folks who save lives in our beautiful mountains, all while enjoying some of the finest pints around.

Quick News Bits:
It appears that Boese Brothers did not finish the renovation of the downtown taproom, as it remains closed, per their website.
Another new brewery? It appears so, but not in a place that has any others nearby. Prod-O Brewery and Distillery has an active small brewer license, and it will be located in the town of Reserve in Western New Mexico. Guess we’ve got a road trip coming up!
Steel Bender is teaming up with a local radio station, The Peak, for Monday Night Football games all season. There will be drink and food specials, and one of the hosts of the station will be there every game from 6 p.m. until halftime. Check their social media for more details.
Nuckolls Brewing has announced that it has 15 more taps (!) now online, so there will be even more beer (and wine) flowing at the Santa Fe Railyard.
