For anyone that enjoyed the Brewyard Games at Bear Fest last weekend, or particularly for anyone who wanted to go but missed out, you have a second chance of sorts with the Brewathlon returning to Brew Lab 101 in Rio Rancho this Saturday. The event benefits the Honor Flight of Northern NM, which helps veterans visit monuments to their service free of charge. The event will have teams of two competing in cornhole and pong, and yes, there will be prizes for the winners. Space is limited, and while it is $50 per team, all the proceeds go to Honor Flight. The event runs from 3 to 6 p.m., and you can sign up in advance here. If you have any additional questions, please reach out to Brew Lab 101. Oh, and of course, pack your sunscreen.
As for that other big event this weekend, United in Beer, fear not, we will have a full preview later this week. Keep an eye out later Saturday for many of the collaborations to appear at the taprooms of the participants.

Know anything about Drylands brewing
It’s one of maybe five or six breweries in New Mexico that none of us have visited due to its remote location out there in Lovington. We’ve heard the pizza/food is pretty good, while the beer needed work, but even those comments are probably out of date from people in the industry (no one has gone, that we know of, since the pandemic).
