Now that the IPA Challenge it behind us, the next big competition for brewer bragging rights is starting this week, the annual State Fair Pro-Am brewing contest. This BJCP-sanctioned event will have both pro and amateur categories that will be judged separately. Beers can be entered in any BJCP style including meads and ciders. Entries must be registered online at the Dukes of Ale website between now and August 9. Two or three bottles must be dropped off at the below locations before August 9. Judging will take place August 23-24. The cost is $7 per entry for amateurs and $8 for the pros. Volunteers are needed for both stewarding and judging.
