Brew Lab Harvest Market supports local vendors and non-profit

Shop, eat, and drink for a good cause this Saturday.

It has been a rather quiet week on the beer front, at least in terms of big events. While the weekend is full of the usual wide array of music and arts at various breweries, the one event that stood out to us was the Brew Lab Harvest Market, which is set for this Saturday starting at 3 p.m. at the brewery in Rio Rancho.

The market will benefit the non-profit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, featuring local vendors and food trucks, followed by some local music.

“October is Beast Cancer Awareness Month and HP is also having a big group come in to support this cause,” owner/brewmaster Scott Salvas told us via email. “The vendor fees will be donated along with a $1 from every pint/growler sold.”

Vendors present will include Mary Kay, Sew Gram Sachs, Crafts made by Liv, Scentsy, J.A.B. Clothing, Chingona Cookies, Color Street, and The Bijoux Bar. Food trucks on site will include Big Boss Blue Sky Kitchen, Wing It Up, and Sugar Bee’s Sweets.

The regular beer and cider lineup will be available, and Labtoberfest is still available on tap.

Last Counterplay will take the indoor stage at 7 p.m.

If you are out in Rio Rancho already, or just feel like a little trek across town, consider stopping by the Harvest Market to do some good simply by enjoying a pint while shopping local. Hey, with the global supply chain in tatters, it might not hurt to start the holiday shopping a little early this year.

Thanks to Scott for the additional info.

Keep supporting local!
