Almost without fail, the busiest and most profitable day of the week for breweries is Saturday, as one might guess. So of course 2021 will finish off with Christmas on a Saturday, because this year has no mercy. In other words, get out and support the breweries in these final days before you are imprisoned with your relatives and listening to horrible music. So make sure to stock up on beer, merchandise for gifts, and watch Die Hard, the best Christmas movie ever. Did I just pick a fight? Anyway, here is what to expect on the days before and after the holiday. We will have a separate post Thursday detailing every brewery’s altered hours for the weekend.

New Draft: 

Bombs Away dropped a double release with Harvest Apple Beer and Blacked Out Stout. Brew Lab 101 keeps the darkness rolling with Theobroma Cacao Stout. Canteen just tapped a fresh batch of Tuttle IPA. Casa Vieja has a fresh batch of Ghost Stout, while also adding Spruce Tip and Yule Lager in time for pre- and post-Christmas enjoyment. Gravity Bound kicks back with Leisure Dream, a new hazy IPA. Harmon Lane has Under Pressure Bourbon Stout available. High and Dry tapped Ghost Fruit, a gose. La Cumbre gets cozy with the return of its winter warmer, Noche de Paz, and there is also a new Weizenbock. La Reforma hops to it with Lupita Lupulosa Red Ale. Lizard Tail tickles the old sweet tooth with Double Chocolate Stout. Marble tapped a new batch of Spruce Moose (Stout). Ponderosa should have its gold medal-winning Italian Pilsner back on tap soon. Steel Bender is doing a special flight of four entires in its Dynamite Series, but if you would rather just have a full pint of Blackberry or Peach Dynamite, both are back on tap. In addition, Steel Bender has Candy Cane Brickie in its finale of the Four Casks of Christmas, which will be Thursday this week instead of Friday.

Up in Santa Fe, Chile Line goes big with Imperial Pinche Guey New Mexican IPA. Second Street has a fresh batch of ESB on tap. Tumbleroot just added Gunpowder Ale (Barrel-Aged Strong Pale Ale) to its lineup. Over in Los Alamos, Bathtub Row has a new batch of Hoppenheimer IPA ready to go.

New Package:

Bow & Arrow won’t stop releasing new cans into the wild, with Magic Desert Shop BBA Stout the latest on the menu. Canteen just released rum-barrel-aged Panama Joe and it is delightful. Ex Novo gave everyone a Doctor’s Note (Juicy IPA) in cans and on draft. Gravity Bound will soon release No Time For Idles, a dry-hopped fruited sour. Harmon Lane has cans of Merica’s Pale Ale, Tom’s Blonde, and Princess Peach will return Friday. ReSource bottled up Christmas Bloody Christmas, a cranberry imperial stout aged on French oak, just in time to make your holiday party awesome.
