The Week Ahead in Beer: Bow & Arrow goes all out for their 8th anniversary

Stoutmeister will have you covered for all things new in beer and brewery events every week.

A number of breweries have tried that cute little trick where they brew up the same number of beers to match the number of their anniversary. With many New Mexico breweries now 10 years or older, that really isn’t feasible. Heck, even eight isn’t feasible, so Bow & Arrow just went ahead and created six new beers for their eighth anniversary. Six, however, is still an impressive number of new offerings. All will be canned, which is also an impressive feat, so if you see any members of the brewing team around the taproom, make sure to say thank you. The party will actually start Thursday with Kolsch Night, where you can purchase a special stange glass and pours of Southwest Society Kolsch in advance of the party. Check B&A social media pages for ticket info. Then on Saturday, the big party kicks off at 4 p.m. with live music from The Roswells and Crazy Bird, plus the full release of all six beers — Kolsch, Hats Off Imperial Fruited Gose, Molto Bené Italian-style Pilsner, Born with Stripes West Coast-style Pilsner, Loyal to the Land Czech-style Dark Lager, and Thunder Runner Triple Hazy IPA. Happy anniversary, Bow & Arrow, and thanks for all that you do to make our beer scene bright!
