By the time you read this feature, the World Cup final could very well be set. Spain beat France 2-0 on Tuesday in the first semifinal, and defending champion Argentina was set to battle England today (Wednesday). That final is set for 1 p.m. Sunday, and of course many breweries will be showing the game, as they have shown so many games over the course of this month-long tournament. From Unhinged on the westside to Lasso and Sidetrack downtown to Tractor and Rio Bravo in Wells Park to Starr Brothers off I-25, and so many more beyond those, final watch parties will take over the taprooms. This will be one last time, for four years, at least, to join with your futbol-and-beer-loving friends to cheer (or boo) the winner of this global contest that cost way too much for most of us to attend in person. Not sure if your favorite brewery will be showing the game? Keep an eye on social media, or reach out directly. Support local while watching the global game. That’s a win-win.
