With every one of the major brewery participants in ABQ Beer Week, we endeavor to put together a separate summary of their many events. After already checking in on Tractor Brewing and Steel Bender Brewyard, we present the Marble Brewery summation.
First up, today (Thursday) is one of our annual favorites, Beer, Cheese & More. The big change this year has the event moving from downtown to the Heights Taproom. Hey, why not take advantage of The Lounge?
Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased in advance online. The event starts at 5 and runs until 7 p.m. Your ticket gets you a tray of five Marble beers paired up with five select gourmet cheeses from Whole Foods Market. There are some additional food items on the tray to further help with the culinary experience.
Oh, and the pairings? Cerveza will be paired with Manchego, Double White with Comte, Uptown Brown Lager with Cabot Catamount, Ginger Rye Lager with Lamb Chopper Gouda, and Brut Savant with Chevre.
Next up on Saturday is the Marbelous Modern General Brunch. Hosted by Modern General at 1720 Central Ave. SW (the old Draft Station spot), it starts at 8 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. For $20, get two special courses paired with two 8-ounce Marble pours.
In keeping with tradition, Marble will host the annual Memorial Day Festival on the downtown patio from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday. The band lineup features Todd Tijerina (2-3:30 p.m.), Zoltan and The Fortune Tellers (4-5:30 p.m.), and Joe Daddy and The Amazing Honeyboys (6-8 p.m.), while Kitsune is the featured food truck, armed with a special menu. The best part? No cover charge.
After a short break in events, Marble is sending the sales team over to Jubilation on Friday, May 31, for a special beer and cheese tasting. That one lasts from 4 to 6 p.m. and will not cost you a thing, unless of course you end up wanting to buy some of the beers you taste and take them home.
The final event takes place at the Westside Taproom on Saturday, June 1 from 3 to 6 p.m. IPAiring is a celebration of hops and the best food that complements those flavors. Stephen Ormsby from Savor has three special items that will pair with three 7-ounce IPA pours of Desert Fog, Double IPA, and Marble’s classic IPA. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased online, while mug club members can purchase their tickets at the taproom for just $20.
A big thanks to Marble marketing director Geraldine Lucero for putting all of this information together amid a very busy stretch for her and the brewery.
See many of you today at Beer, Cheese & More.
Cheers!
