Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s eight breweries, one in Los Alamos, one in Moriarty, one in Red River, one in Silver City, and one in Truth or Consequences also joining the party.

Go ahead and have yourself a week, Bow & Arrow. Between events and beer releases, it is going to be a busy five days at the brewery on Sixth Street. First up, as we wrote on Monday, is the Brewing Industry Pride Night that runs from 5 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday). Friday will then see a double beer release, one in cans and on draft, and the other on draft only. Four-packs of the new version of Cactus Flats Hazy IPA, this batch made with Belma hops, will be available. Alternatively, you can snag a pint of Retro Tones Imperial Fruited Sour IPA on tap. Made with blueberries and lemon, this is the collaboration with Gravity Bound that we wrote about last week. It will be available at both breweries. The fun then continues Saturday with DJ El Reymont spinning the tunes on the patio stage from 5 to 10 p.m.

Another cool thing to note this week is that Turtle Mountain is offering a discount on its three remaining spring seasonals. You can get a pint or a crowler/growler fill of Splittin’ Aces 22nd Anniversary Double IPL, Amber Waves of Graham, and Oh, Mai! (Maibock) for $1 off until all three are gone.

On the new draft beer front this week, there some additional fresh options to check out for pints or crowler/growler fills. High and Dry tapped two new IPAs in Switch Positions, a hazy, and Pulled From a Hat, a West Coast. Marble said damn the heat and put a Nitro Stout on tap, plus they added IPA-X. Red Door has a fresh batch of Mic Czech Pilsner, plus more cans of New England IPA are available. Sidetrack sticks with the hop-forward and releases All American IPA. Steel Bender rolls out Esmeralda Italian Pilsner on Thursday.

Up in Santa Fe, Beer Creek is taking a Victory Lap with its new Vienna lager on draft. Second Street will release cans and draft of its new session IPA, Beyond the Pitch, a charitable collaboration with The Curse, the New Mexico United fan group (we will have a lot more on this in a separate story). Over in Los Alamos, Bathtub Row brings back Kiwi Lager.

(WEEKEND UPDATES) Quite a few more beers popped on draft over the last couple days. Bombs Away dropped Blonde Session IPA. Bosque tapped Summer in the Garden, a blonde ale made with honey and rose petals. Canteen clearly sees Hazy Vision DIPA. Differential swapped out the Guava Wheat for Pineapple Wheat. Gravity Bound has a fresh batch of Garden Spot made with Kernza malt. Marble checks off a new batch of Pilsner Burquell. Rio Bravo lightens up with Light & Crisp Kolsch.
