Run do not walk down the road for this year’s NM Pint Glass Day

Just in case you are not on social media, or do not follow that many breweries on there, you might have missed that Wednesday is New Mexico Pint Glass Day. For the fifth year running, the New Mexico Brewers Guild is releasing a special commemorative pint glass at participating breweries throughout the state.

This year’s glass features the Greater Roadrunner, the state bird of New Mexico, on a glass designed by local artist Mallory Kucala.

“Pint Glass Day is one of our favorite ways to celebrate New Mexico’s craft beer community,” NMBG executive director Ebbie Edmonston said in a press release. “This year’s roadrunner design is a tribute to the spirit, speed, and character of our state — and what better way to enjoy it than with a fresh pour at your local brewery.”

Breweries set the price individually, but most seem to be going with a $7 empty/$12 full cost per glass. This is a major fundraiser for the Guild, with $1 from each glass sold going to the nonprofit. Many of the participating breweries will have additional specials going on all day, so check their respective social media pages.

That, naturally, leads us to the list of breweries that are participating this year. We broke it up geographically to make it a little easier to sort through.

You can buy the glasses empty, or fill ’em up with your favorite brew. (Photo courtesy of Flock of Moons)

Note that we do not know how many offsite taprooms will have glasses for sale besides the main location, save for any noted above. It may be best to call ahead regardless, as the glasses tend to run out very, very fast, particularly at the most popular breweries.

This is a great way to support the Guild, local breweries, and a local artist, so get on out there Wednesday and hit up your favorite spot(s). You can make room in the cabinet for one more pint glass. Or, just build another cabinet. Whatever it takes, right?

Keep supporting local!

We have had zero contact with anyone at High and Dry since the shakeup at the top. We didn’t even know there was a new brewer.
