The Week Ahead in Beer: Earn a pint by helping Canteen help a local school

Stoutmeister will have you covered for all things new in beer and brewery events every week.

We’re gonna keep this intro short and sweet this week. Let’s just say that Brandon and I, despite our best efforts to defy the laws of physics, could not get a big couch through a small door this morning. Anyway, both Canteen locations are hosting a school supply drive this Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. The drive will benefit Apache Elementary School, which is located off Tramway and Copper (near the Canteen Taproom). Bring any supplies and get $1 off a pint. Bring a backpack and they will buy you a pint. It helps out a good school that needs some help. Hey, in a coincidence, my mom used to work there as a speech language pathologist. So she definitely says this is a good cause to support. Mom approved, people!

Boxing Bear recently tapped Pennies from Heaven, described as an amber hybrid ale. Ex Novo has Darryl’s Strawberries back on tap. Brew Crew, where are the NMIPAC complete results? The Guild has not printed the samples that we rated. I’ve reached out to them, but no response. I would like to see who’s who.

So you’re asking which beer was which number on the tray? They shared it on Instagram. From that:
      1. Downshift, 2. Second Street, 3. Canteen, 4. Ponderosa, 5. Marble, 6. Ex Novo, 7. Bow & Arrow, 8. Tumbleroot, 9. Gravity Bound, 10. Icebox, 11. Sidetrack, 12. La Cumbre, 13. Thirsty Eye, 14. Boxing Bear, 15. Santa Fe, 16. Bathtub Row.

If you’re looking for the names of the beers, we only know that Juice Boxer was the winner. For the rest, you would probably have to reach out to the individual breweries.

this is all helpful. I was looking on Facebook but didn’t check Instagram. As suggested, I will reach out to the breweries for the names of the beers, which is what I’m curious about. Thank you!!
