The Week Ahead in Beer: Golfing for the Guild returns for another round

Stoutmeister will have you covered for all things new in beer and brewery events every week.

June and July are big months for the New Mexico Brewers Guild. The latter will have the IPA Challenge (dates and locations TBA, and no, we’re not just holding back, we really don’t know yet) and later this month is Pint Glass Day. First up among the Guild fundraisers is the Annual Golf Tournament, which moves over to the UNM Championship Course this Monday. It will run from 8 a.m., with a shotgun start, to 1 p.m., when lunch is served and an awards ceremony follows. A number of breweries will be set up along the course to serve the brave men and women who will challenge the same course the Lobo men’s and women’s team use. Full details including how to register are available here. And no, you do not have to work at a brewery to participate. Slap on some sunscreen and get out there with a plethora of Caddyshack and Happy Gilmore one-liners at your disposal to support the Guild!

New Draft:

Bombs Away brought back Low Resistance Lager and Just an Amber. Boxing Bear tapped a new batch of Alan the Cowboy Dark Kolsch.
