The Week Ahead in Beer: Collabs are all the rage and we are here for it

Stoutmeister will have you covered for all things new in beer and brewery events every week.

Another week, another collaboration beer is due to be released. Damn, we live in great times. Back in the old days, collabs were a fairly rare thing. These days it feels like they are a becoming a constant. That’s a good thing. When breweries join forces, good things happen. This week the release is Dangerous Goods, described as a “modern West Coast IPA.” It was brewed by the good folks at Boxing Bear and Canteen, so the odds are quite good that it will be a banger. We just love seeing that amid all the economic doom and gloom, good breweries will still team up, have a little fun, and let their combined creativity shine. What’s even better about this collab is that it will not just be released on draft, it will also be released in cans. Look for those this Friday, and consider it a great way to prep your palate for the final round of the New Mexico Brewers Guild IPA Challenge at Boxing Bear Firestone on Saturday (get your tickets here)!

New Draft:

High and Dry has fresh batches of Ace of Haze and Orange You Glad back on tap, plus they added Tangerine Queen, a fruited tart ale. La Cumbre tapped Timmy T’s, a West Coast IPA, and Berliner Weisse, plus they brought back I Lüv Ümlaüts. Marble resurrected an all-time favorite, Thunder from Dortmunder. Ponderosa tapped Cherry Citrus Sour Ale.

Down south, Open Space tapped Earth Worship, a brown ale. Truth or Consequences Brewing will bring back Lucky Dog Lager on Thursday.

New Package:

So far, Dangerous Goods is the lone canned beer release this week.
