Ah, March, a month of promise, a month of rebirth, a month of madness, a month of a lot of stinking wind. It has also been a month of a lot of seasonal beer releases across the ABQ metro area’s many breweries. This has been an unusual month in how much it has combined to feature lots of Crew members working hard, taking vacations, studying away with midterms, and so on. In other words, we haven’t gotten out to our local breweries nearly as much as we would like, which is a shame considering all the goodness they’ve concocted this month.

So the Crew (or at least me, Stoutmeister), will be trying to run down some additional seasonals before the month ends with Easter on Sunday. As always, we want your input, gentle readers, so leave us your picks for March’s best seasonal in the comments section below, or get at us on Facebook and/or Twitter.
To help everybody out, here is the full list of seasonal beers for March. As always, the rule has to be that eligible beers have to have gone on tap no sooner than March 1. We are including some popular beers (Marble’s Imperial Red, for instance) that tend to be released periodically throughout the year. As long as the current batch debuts in the 31 days of March, it is eligible.
Without further adieu …
ABQ Brew Pub: Ben Miller’s American IPA
Back Alley: Pale Ale, IPA, Red Ale
Bosque: Engaano Hefeweizen (since Scotia Scotch is going to be a regular beer, it is sadly no longer eligible; happily, it’s now regularly available)
Broken Bottle: David Hasselheffe, Rob Van Winkle Vanilla Stout, Nacho Brau, Elixir Vanilla Cream Ale, Sickle and Hammer Imperial Red
Cazuela’s: Inebriator (doppel bock)
Chama River: Nobel Session Ale, Irish Red Ale, Marzen
Farside: Irish Red, Zombie IPA, Triple Chocolate Stout, C Squared
Il Vicino: Mosaic IPA, Irish Red, Chainsaw Irish Lager, C.R.A.P., Panama Joe’s Coffee Stout, Oatmeal Stout, Boysenberry Wheat, Exodus IPA, Cascade Pale Ale
La Cumbre: Where in the Helles, Irish Red Lager, Project Dank, Red Red Rye
Marble: Imperial Red, Tripel
Nexus: Oak Aged Imperial Red, Belgian Dark Strong

Tractor: Goat Head Hater Doppel Bock, Barnstorm Ale
Turtle Mountain: Honey Wheat, Belgian IPA, Imperial Pilsner, Steam+, Irish Stout, Celtic Brown, Hopduster IPA, Ol’ Brown Eyes
Man, that’s a lot of beers; personally I’ve only tried 11 of them. Please don’t try to play catch-up on all of them this week. Your liver will not forgive you. But do head out to support your local breweries and have some fun. Remember, the more time passes, the more you’ll be able to forget about the Lobos’ latest NCAA disaster. Plus, you can join me and root for Arizona in the Sweet 16! (Plenty of room on the bandwagon!)
Enjoy the rest of your week. We’ll have the results up next Monday or (more likely) Tuesday. Hey, Monday is Opening Day in Major League Baseball. Priorities.
Cheers!

Good choices, Kent. What specifically made them your favorites? (We’re a detail-obsessed Crew)
