We mentioned in The Week Ahead in Beer that this Saturday and Sunday is the Santa Fe Beer & Food Festival at El Rancho de las Golondrinas. Now, as we tend to do any time there is a festival, we went ahead and got as many of the beer lists as we could for the participating breweries.
The official website is now also updated to include the lists of live music and vendors, plus all the eateries that will be present to handle that half of the festival’s name. Il Encanto Pizza, What the Truck, Steve’s Italian Ice, Bumble Bee Roasters, Nutty Bavarian, Santa Fe Oil, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Bar X Brand Jerky, Ruby Mac’s Coffee, and Wilder Garden Tomato Sauce and Jams are scheduled to be there both days from noon to 6 p.m.
Getting back to the beer, here is what will be present from the participating breweries. There will also be a couple of non-breweries present, Black Mesa Winery (serving ciders only) and Mystic Ambrosia Mead, which pretty much screams “try me, too!” because we’re all vikings in our minds and want to raise a glass to Heidrun. If you have no idea what I’m writing about, please start listening to Amon Amarth and thank me later.
Ahem, anyway, here are the beer lists that we have received so far. Hopefully the missing few will get back to us and we can update this before Saturday.
- Beer Creek: TBA
- Blü Dragonfly: Mexican Lager, Munich Dunkel, That Other IPA, Hatch Chile Amber
- Downshift: Helles, Campin’ Vibes Amber, Snowday Hazy IPA, Hopwater
- Little Toad Creek: TBA
- Santa Fe: TBA
- Second Street: 2920 IPA, Agua Fria Pilsner, Boneshaker Amber, Kolsch
- Steel Bender: Cider, Skull Bucket IPA, Compa Blue Corn Lager, OktoberFiesta
- Tractor: Blood Orange Cider, Scorpion Hazy IPA, Otra Vez Mexican Lager
- Tumbleroot: TBA
In addition to the beers being poured, two breweries are bringing cans for sale (as in you take them home and drink them there, please do not open any cans you purchase at the festival as that violates state liquor laws). Blü Dragonfly will also have six-packs to go of Dreamsicle, That Other IPA, Rayado Irish Red, Ponil Pilsner, Biscochito Stout, Koehler Kolsch, Munich Dunkel, Mexican Lager, and Hatch Chile Amber. Steel Bender will also have six-packs to go of Hefe Lifting, Compa, Skull Bucket and OktoberFiesta.
So grab a ticket, don’t forget the sunscreen and some comfy walking shoes, and we will see you all out there this weekend. Got questions? Send them to us via social media DM, and if we cannot answer, we will pass them along to the organizers.
Keep supporting local!
